Exclusive to the Expanse Wiki members, I'll be answering questions here about the show if I know the answer and I'm allowed to say it.
I'm hoping for lived in ;)
Some parts are lived in, some are shiny.
There will be interesting stuff we didn't get to show the reader because of our tight third person POV style. Nothing is filler on this show with only ten episodes in season one.
How has the experience of working with other writers been?
Can't announce any music yet, but we have a music supervisor hard at work on it.
Probably not totally silent. It just robs you of too many story telling devices. We'll probably do the muted sound like BSG did.
Will you be releasing any official concept art, etc before the release of the show? I'd love to get a first hand look at the Roci and the technology of the Expanse universe and work that in with how I imagine it in my head.
I'm sure the marketing and publicity people are spending a bunch of time thinking about how to do this exact thing. But they haven't told me what it will look like yet.
You'll get to see all the ships you read in the books.
How will availability be for the series in the rest of the world? Do we have to wait for local channels to buy the show or will you be using any streaming services (Netflix/Viaplay/HBO Nordic) for global distribution?
Legendary has purchased the world distribution rights, and is hard at work selling the show in every local market. We're trying to be aggressive about getting dubbed versions out as close to simultaneous as we can. We'll have the advantage of having all the episodes shot before the show airs, so translators can start working right away.
How have you personally imagined Terminals? Are they simply a futuristic smart phone in terms of looks? Holographic interfaces? From memory they weren't really described in detail in the book. Cheers!
What do you think?
