How did it happen and the UN government didn't nuke the protomolecule's structure when this popped up from the surface of Venus?
That would have been the most logical thing to do as the thing that popped up from Venus was made by whatever "materials" ( organic or inorganic ) Protomolecule used from Eros.
Eros now initial ending point /"target" was Earth, and they knew that, no matter if in the process was redirected to Venus. So the first and most reasonable thing that Earthers should have had done when they saw this thing reappear it would have been to nuke it without any hesitation, because it was way too close to Earth and they didn't know its "intentions".
Why did they leave it to travel all the way from Venus to Uranus and morph into a Ring?
It is a very good question because I can't find any good reason why they left it complete its "work" while they did know that it could have destroy Earth and that it wasn't something inert or harmless.
Pardon me if this has been discussed before or if it is covered in one of the books (I'm only a few chapters into Babylon's Ashes).
Does anyone have any thoughts on the implications of a stable human-proto molecule hybrid. One of that can operate free from the directives of the molecule's directives? Do you think it could break physics as Eros did? Might make for an interesting premise for the tabletop rpg. The universe's version of a magic user.

I cannot help but wonder, the creative decision of the obvious softening of Naomi's character and deeper love relationship with Holden..
Any chance they are buttering us up for a possible torn loyalty thing (Over her son with Marco, , again, emphasizing Marco Inaros and her now revealed to be evil lovechild Felip?
I love her character, but combining the new hair do, an the deliberate quip from her when she told Elvi "You got us all figured out.." implying Elvi did not recognize that she was a belter (Stands to reason most Inners would not recognize her either right?), could spell a bigger struggle for her and possible betrayal if she should have to choosing Holden, the Roci, or her loyalty to her now evil son.
How in sync is her TV appearance and relationship to Holden compared to the books?

Ok, this has been bugging me for a while, I'm hoping someone can think of a simple answer, i'll start with the question then explain why:
Is the physical Ring we see in ring space the same as the ring system side?
I mean, if it is a whole other ring, does the ring station just conjure a massive ring of protomolecule and metal out of nothing whenever a system-ring activates?
Or are we actually seeing the back side of the Sol Ring from inside the Slow Zone? Because that comes with all manner of other issues.
