Ring Builders

In response to a question as to whether each gate consists of a single ring or one in our universe and one in the ring space, I posted:

“Spoilers for book 9 follow.

The ring space seems to be something like an artificially stabilized vacuum fluctuation inside another universe. As such, there is no such thing as “physical distance” between the location of a ring gate in our universe and its location on the surface of the ring space. Each gate is a single ring, seen on one side from our universe and the other from the ring space.”

This earned me getting the thread locked, I presume by the same person who asked:

” What heck is a vacuum fluctuation?”
