Exclusive to the Expanse Wiki members, I'll be answering questions here about the show if I know the answer and I'm allowed to say it.
More than either of those, honestly. Almost nothing removed, lots of stuff added at the author's consent and cooperation. They don't want to trim the story, they want to make it even bigger than in the books.
Some very smart props guy is probably hard at work on that.
Any plans to include the background Stories for the novellas
Belter physiology is tough, but I wrote a blog post about that here: http://www.danielabraham.com/2014/11/01/casting-lessons-or-why-not-all-belters-are-tall/
I'm sure the novella information will get worked in as the show progresses.
They hire extras almost every day, but only Canadians I'm afraid.
Pretty crazy. I've already sat in Alex's crash couch on the Canterbury.
And are considering doing any collectibles, like a scale model of the Rocinante?
Moreover, if this takes off, any plans on doing the novellas, as web series maybe?
I can't answer any of these questions yet.
I can say that some events from the novellas are being worked into the overall story, but I can't say which ones or when.
We have about 80,000 square feet of amazing sets built, but we'll be augmenting those with green screen of course. It definitely won't be the 'actor in a green void' of the Star Wars prequels.
I don't know. But they won't be zombie like. More like victims of late stage hemmoraghic fever. Using the word "zombie" in the book gave a lot of people the wrong idea about what was going on.
Wes Chatham. The wiki here has all the announcements as well as pictures of the cast.
Asked this on twitter, but I guess, I'll ask again and hope for a more precise answer:) How will Low G/Zero G be handled?
A combination of actor action, wire work, and magnetic boots mostly.
Yep, we have a linguist, dialect coach, and physical choreographer helping with this. But we'll use it sparingly so it doesn't get annoying.
I'm looking forward to meeting Bobbie when we cast her, but she wants to have stuff to do.
Julie Mao's been announced. In fact, a picture of her has already been posted as an announcement here on the Wiki. I think you'll be pleased.
Can't really say how far into the books the first season goes, but I can say that we're using Avasarala to get an insider view into how the events of the first book are affecting Earth and it's political relationship with the OPA and Mars.
