Please reply to this thread if you see any problems that are new, since UCP could be the culprit.
Saying "new" implies we had some before, but we didn't so they are the only ones as well...
Please congratulate VARGR, Cantomic66, and Msp1132 on their promotions to Content Moderator! Their user profile pages should show them as 'United Nations Official'.
Some of the things you can bug them to do:
Delete pages
Undelete a pages
Delete article comments
Change protection levels and edit protected pages
Overwrite existing files (reupload)
Move/rename files
Not create redirects from source pages when moving/renaming pages
View deleted history entries, without their associated text
View deleted text and changes between deleted revisions
They also now have the unfortunate responsibility of helping fix all the problems after the UCP conversion, but I'm sure they'll have fixes, I didn't think about.
So for issues above, bug them and not me!
Hello Expanse Wiki community! I'm Marcus, the Wiki Manager from the TV/Movies vertical. I'd like to update this community on a change that will affect all communities.
As many of you may know, Fandom has been migrating communities to the new Unified Community Platform (UCP for short). This wiki is scheduled to be ported over in the coming weeks. For those unfamiliar with UCP, please read this blog.
If you have further questions about the change, please leave a comment below. I'll do my best to get them answered. I'll check back in once the community has been ported over to make sure everything is fine!
You can read about the Unified Community Platform, but this conversion is bound to cause turmoil and functional disruption. Any help trying to fix up the wiki is appreciated.
To get an idea of what we're in for, you can see the list of issues and what has been fixed over time at this user-compiled status page.
Unless someone can show an article where they add significant value that shouldn't be in the article itself, I find comments not worth the trouble of monitoring.
Persepolis Rising is here with lots of new information.
This is the sixth in a series of lists on topics that need articles. This is a list of articles in the "Technology" or "Devices" category. The full list of categories for Persepolis Rising can be found here.
Want to help update the articles? Great!
In the category of technology, there was
Is there something missing? Is there a more precise and accurate name/description?
Although James S.A. Corey / Daniel Abraham tweeted a link to hachette group books' website to announce the release of a couple of chapters, it is the overdrive site that offers us more!!
Four and a half chapters as well as the Prologue and the Table of Contents.
From this we learn the viewpoint characters but more surprisingly, we discover the over 30 year time leap!

The seventh book in the series, Persepolis Rising is here!
We're very excited about this. If you've been following the news you know there were some shocking revelations.
With all the new ships, new characters, new events, and new locations, there is a lot of information to keep track of. That's why we come to the wiki after all! Help the community add all those facts, details and bits of trivia to new articles!
Check out these lists of new topics broken down by category:
If you haven't gotten your copy, what are you waiting for?
I'll keep it short:
I had an idea for a restructuration of TV-Books sister articles. Instead of linking them through the {{tabs}}
template, we could turn the related disambiguation page into the actual page documenting the two incarnations by summoning the two subpages within a tabber (see Jim Holden).
Of course, I'm going to need your opinion on this. So, what do you think? Should we stick to our current way of separation and linking, or should we use a tabber instead?
Hello, everyone! Not-so-recently, the new type of galleries was switched on. Now, because no complaints were made by anyone, the change endured. But now, after arguments against the new galleries were cast, I ask you to pick your preferred type of galleries through this poll:
Hi, everyone! Many of you here took part in the Season Two Favorites survey, which concluded roughly three months ago. Among many, only three characters and scenes reached the podium, while only one was declared the victor (for each section). The experiment was fun, and it will return next year after the conclusion of Season 3.
Now, how about a similar survey for the novels? Tell me here the best 50 (maximum) scenes and characters that appear between novels one (Leviathan Wakes) and six (Babylon's Ashes) that you think would deserve to compete against each other for the title of the best scene/character in the whole written series so far. Entries will be displayed below and will close when the number fifty is reached or when no more appropriate entries are possible.

Steven Strait in 2009
Shohreh Aghdashloo in 2008
Steven Strait starred in the two-season TV series Magic City, and has also starred in the 2012 sci-fi thriller After. Aghdashloo was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in House of Sand and Fog (2003) and won a Primetime Emmy for the HBO miniseries House of Saddam (2008), both awarded for her work as supporting actress; in the sci-fi department she had a minor role in X-Men: The Last Stand.
All three cast members are slightly younger than their book counterparts – Strait (28) plays Holden (30), Aghdashloo (62) plays Avasarala (in her seventies) and Jane (45) plays Miller (49) – but not much.
More interesting is the fact that the cast for the 10 episode series so far includes characters from the two first books, Leviathan Wakes and Caliban's War, which suggests that we will not get a full season treatment for each book.
As this is the first casting to be announced, it allows us to assess how true to their book looks we can expect the cast members to be. The answer so far: Not terribly. Miller is, of course, a Belter; unsurprisingly, Jane is visibly missing the giant head and thin, elongated body. Maybe they'll add it in post-production. Apart from that detail, the Miller of the books is described as having a sad, basset hound face, although I can totally see Jane sporting his signature porkpie hat. The actor is also five years shy of Miller's upcoming 50th birthday – and, might I say, doesn't even look that old! He could've played Holden and I wouldn't wince.
On the other hand, Thomas Jane is a great and funny actor, and I'm sure he can put some weight behind Miller's dry, dreary humor. What do you think? And who do you want for the other roles? Check out our casting thread!
Full guidelines have finally been established for this wiki. They can be found here. The general policies can be found here. I urge all of you to read both pages thoroughly and, from now on, respect the rules established there. Also, please edit all articles that violate these guidelines and uplift them to a state where they are faithful to the manual of style.
Do you have a suggestion regarding the improvement of the guidelines and policies? Do not hesitate to leave your idea here.

Hi, everyone!
I'll be short: there are two issues that keep bothering me.
One: The wiki background image. The current one is... yeah. Do you have any ideas for a good one? Or, better yet, could you create one?
Two: The front page. It seems... incomplete. I mean, aesthetically, I wouldn't give it a perfect 10, even though it is better than that of 99.99% other wikis. Do you have any ideas for possible improvements?
Follow-up: After that shadow add-on, it does look closer to reaching 10.
That's all.
Have the best of days,
MysticalArchAngel
See the idea I proposed on WoWWiki... Change WoWWiki's "Community name" to "KEEP NET NEUTRALITY!" vote.
A name change will only live for a few weeks. It is not permanent.
Here's a poll (please vote; here's a good article on Net Neutrality):
→ See this reply for what "Keep Net Neutrality! Here's How To Be Heard…" means.
I figure the change could go into effect sometime Saturday (July 15), if voting favors it by sometime Friday (July 14). The public comment period to the FCC ends August 17. Here's one way of putting teeth behind your words of support: Submit Letter
