434 Hungaria is a relatively small asteroid orbiting in the Inner Asteroid Belt.
Description[]
Hungaria is asteroid in the Hungaria group, an asteroid group close to the orbit of Mars. It is an E-type asteroid with enstatite achondrite surfaces that give it a high albedo.
History[]
The asteroid was discovered by Max Wolf on September 11, 1898 at the University of Heidelberg.

In researching missing ships in the Sol system, James Holden came across a Martian Congressional Republic Navy record indicating the ship's transponder signal of the Pau Kant had pinged once near 434 Hungaria and then disappeared.[1] He asked Alex Kamal to check it out, and Alex and Bobbie Draper took the Razorback to the Hungaria group to investigate. There they found several Free Navy ships waiting and were attacked by the Andreas Hofer.[2]
