His shipmates were Julie Mao, Dave, Wan Li, and Mike.
History[]
Their ship is boarded by a hostile group during and they are each roughly handled. In the first book, Leviathan Wakes, Captain Darren is described as had "rolled over like a dog" when they were taken captive, indicating how much pain he had endured from physical brutality. At the end of the prologue, Julie Mao sees his infused head on the protomolecule-infested reactor calling for help.
