“The Final Mission” —
The Drummer faction engagement with the Jotunn was a brief battle between the defected Drummer faction and the Free Navy. After having split up due to differences within the crew[1], the reduced flotilla of two ships, the Tynan and Dewalt, were on the run from the Free Navy and seeking a safe harbour. The Free Navy dispatched a bounty hunter vessel, the Jotunn, to hunt them down.

The Jotunn eventually found the scavenging faction while gathering supplies from a severely damaged MCRN Donnager-class battleship adrift after a battle with Free Navy forces. The vessel offered the faction to surrender and hand over themselves as it maneuvered the debris, while the flotilla, aware of the presence of the Jotunn, evacuated the Dewalt of all resources and crew and purposefully placed it unprotected as a trap for the Tynan to fire an unguided missile at the Jotunn as it approached.
Michio was responsible for activating the missile as soon as Camina Drummer would have ordered to do so, and as she did, Michio mistakenly enabled the Jotunn to locate the Tynan via its transmitter signal. The Jotunn immediately turned towards the Donnager-class wreckage and the Tynan hidden inside its engine compartment, and, with no other option left, Drummer caused the Dewalt fusion reactor to overload and detonate. The explosion destroyed both the Dewalt and the nearby Jotunn caught in the blast, and the Tynan fled the scene as fast as possible. Even with the entirety of supplies from the Dewalt evacuated on board the Tynan, the faction was still plagued by chronic scarcity.[2]
