He is a boy of about 14 years of age.

Flunky Thug is a member of a long-haul gang operating on the Lazy Songbird, extorting protection money from the travelers.

On a flight from Ceres to Luna, this Thug approaches Rico and husband, along with their daughter Wendy, selling "travel insurance" and coerces them to pay. Amos Burton, traveling near them on the ship, makes it clear no one in the group will pay for their "insurance," which frustrates Flunky Thug and his boss, but they leave. Later they attack Amos in the ship's head in retaliation and Amos severely beats them.[1]

This character is not named in either The Expanse TV series episode "Exodus" or Nemesis Games, he is simply referred to as Flunky Thug in the TV episode and as an extortionist in the book. The extortion attempt, intervention by Amos, and subsequent fight between Amos and the gang members firmly establish that this is the same character as the unnamed character in the TV series.[2]
