Blurb[]

As tension between Mars and Earth mounts, and terrorism plagues the Martian city of Londres Nova, sixteen-year-old David Draper is fighting his own lonely war. A gifted chemist vying for a place at the university, David leads a secret life as a manufacturer for a ruthless drug dealer. When his friend Leelee goes missing, leaving signs of the dealer’s involvement, David takes it upon himself to save her. But first he must shake his aunt Bobbie Draper, a former marine who has been set adrift in her own life after a mysterious series of events nobody is talking about.

First edition

Although only one edition has been released, a new cover design that matches the rest of the books more closely has been revealed[1].

Trivia[]

Two of the novella's working titles were "Chemistry" and "Innis Deep"[2].

The drug produced, 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-n-propylthiophenethylamine, is a genuine real-life psychedelic, but is fairly obscure, having been made illegal in a few countries in the last few decades and generally available only to psychedelic aficionados.
