Kit Kamal is the son of Alex Kamal and Giselle.

Kit was born on Ceres, to the famed pilot of the Rocinante, Alex Kamal, and his ex-wife Giselle. He attended university at Mariner Tech on Mars, majoring in planetary engineering.[1]

While attending university he met Rohani.[2] They married shortly there after.

Kit emigrated from Mars aboard the Preiss with his wife and son to Nieuwestad in order to pursue a career with Jacobin-Black Combined Capital. A gate event during the Preiss' traversal through the Sol gate into the Ring network resulted in the ship nearly going Dutchman.[3]
The ship, crew, and passengers were miraculously recovered through some initially unexplained phenomenon. However, it caused Kit and his family to experience the memories and thoughts of others.[4]
