The Martian Embassy is the embassy and diplomatic representation of the Martian Congressional Republic (MCR) on Earth to the United Nations (UN), and is located in New York City.
Description[]
The embassy is a complex of several linked building in New York City, the seat of governance of the United Nations. It houses the diplomatic delegation and ambassador of the MCR to the UN, and hosts temporary Martian delegations when needed to.
The complex is an extraterritorial subject and features joint checkpoints with the UN at the edge of the embassy's grounds; it is guarded by specialized troops of the Martian Marine Corps or MCR military police, while being observed by MCR and UN drones respectively. The embassy grounds featured pads for MCRN Chariot-type dropships to land on and launch off of.
History[]
“You can't go home” — Following the Ganymede incident, the Martian Embassy was used to host and accomondate temporary MCR delegation for the New York City peace summit. MMC Gunnery Sergeant Roberta Draper fled the embassy on two occasions, one time through a window and the second by seeking political refuge in the UN at the peripheries of the embassy's extraterritorial grounds.
The current status of the embassy is unclear, as New York City was devastated by the Dakar and Philadelphia impacts during the Free Navy Bombardment of Earth. It is possible the facilities were flooded or destroyed by the seismic impact quake.
