    • Delete tag can include the reason: {{delete|REASON}}
    • The issues you mentioned should now be fixed

    1. sorry to disturb :)

    2. didn't know that, thanks

    3. here are some more issues/changes that I would like to suggest:

    • In the spoiler-warning on top, maybe "Syfy adaption" should be changed to "TV adaption"?

    • In Novels and Novellas, Tiamat's Wrath and Auberon are missing.
    Template:Portal:Component/Book_series
    copy/paste:
    File:Tiamats Wrath.jpg|TIAMAT'S WRATH|link=Tiamat's Wrath
    File:Auberon cover.jpg|AUBERON|link=Auberon (Novella)
Also I think Bobbie Draper would deserve to be in the characters list.

    • In TV Series, I think the list of characters could be expanded. There are a few main charcters missing, like Bobbie, Drummer, Fred Johnson and Ashford. Also, looking towards Season 4, maybe some of the upcoming main characters could be added, like Murtry, Elvi and The Investigator. On the other hand, maybe Dresden (and also Havelock?) could be removed, as they dont have that big roles.
Decide for yourself, here are some suggestions to copy/paste:
    Template:Portal:Component/TV_series
    File:Roberta_Draper_-_Expanse_season_4_promotional_1.png|BOBBIE DRAPER|link=Bobbie Draper (TV)
    File:Camina_Drummer_S4_.png|CAMINA DRUMMER|link=Camina Drummer (TV)
    File:S02E07-ChadLColeman_as_FredJohnson_03c.jpg|FRED JOHNSON|link=Fred Johnson (TV)
    File:Klaes_Ashford_-_Expanse_season_4_promotional_2.png|KLAES ASHFORD|link=Klaes Ashford (TV)
    File:Josephus_Miller_-_Expanse_season_4_promotional_1.png|THE INVESTIGATOR|link=The Investigator (TV)
    File:Murtry_S4_closeup.png|ADOLPHUS MURTRY|link=Adolphus Murtry (TV)
    File:Dy5Vi_MWkAQcykr.jpg_large.jpg|ELVI OKOYE|link=Elvi Okoye (TV)

FYI: The first 3 links in History lead to disambiguation pages, but that might be ok? (although not perfect)

    • Something not main-page related:
Looking forward to Season 4, many people may look for Miller. Should there be something like "Were you looking for the protomolecule incarnation of Miller, The Investigator?" on top of his page, or would that be spoiling?
      Loading editor
    • All the issues should be addressed. Feel free to add the disambig line to the top of the Miller page... it may be a spoiler, but it will clear up confusion.

  • Hey Fandyllic! Hope you're great! Reaching out to you about the upcoming season being released on Amazon. Do you have plans to tweak the wordmark to align more with the branding under Amazon? We also should have some access to promotional images for season 4. Would it be fine with using them for the characters infoboxes?

  • Hi Fandyllic,

I hope the wait to Season 4 is treating you well! I recently joined the wiki to stay connected to this amazing series after binge-watching all of its episodes. I've contributed to wikis in the past, and in the process of looking through this wiki to see how I could contribute, I noticed a few practices on the wiki that I think could be improved. I was told that you were the only active admin on here by Oot42, so I was wondering if you would be able to help me understand why the wiki does what it does and also weigh in on some of my suggestions.

The first thing I noticed was the presence of a Book/TV notice as well as a Book/TV tab on pages about subjects that appear in the books and the series. An example would be Julie Mao (TV). Having both the notice at the top and the tabber seems redundant to me, since they convey the same information (e.g. that Julie Mao (TV) is about Julie from TV). I've contributed to wikis that have had tabbers before (Battlefront Wiki and Wookieepedia) and they didn't use these notices in conjunction with their tabbers. Is there a specific reason for this redundancy?

The second thing I noticed is somewhat similar to the first thing and is based on my experiences on the wikis I mentioned before. Why are pages like Julie Mao disambiguation pages, but pages that have actual content like Julie Mao (TV) and Julie Mao (Books) relegated to having page names with parenthesis? I feel like we could get get rid of those types of disambiguation pages and free up those main page names (e.g. Julie Mao) and transfer either the TV info or Books info onto the main page while keeping the other one with parenthesis. So instead of having Julie Mao, Julie Mao (TV), and Julie Mao (Books), we would just have Julie Mao (with TV info) and Julie Mao (Books) (or vice versa). I think this change would certainly help with linking when we edit things, plus it would reduce the amount of pages about a particular subject from three down to two.

Please let me know your thoughts! I'm new to this wiki and not familiar with all of its rationales behind its practices, so I don't want to make too many drastic changes until I get a better understanding of them. Thank you for reading all of this; I certainly did not intend for it to be this long.

All the best, and long live the Belt.

    • I'll have to review the Manual of style... there shouldn't be too many changes for S4, but maybe some needed additions. Remember, many of the policy pages and such were done by other admins who are now less active (or inactive). I'm not a bureaucrat, so the admin team can't be changed or expanded by me.

    • Once you're working through the Manual of style, please remove all the stuff about the deprecated ep1, ep2, ep3 templates. It's under characters/tv. Maybe add a deprecated notice instead.

Yeah, it looks like you've been left alone here. Hopefully S4 will bring back some of them. :)

  • in meantime, I edited and even created some new pages, but also I'm still looking around and learning. One thing that came to my attention:

Someone recently splitted the page for the "Anubis" into separate pages for Books & Show. While this may be a good idea (I did not check the new pages itself), I ask myself if the way this was done is correct.

Tho old Anubis-Page is now forwarding to a new disambiguation-page, which then links to the 2 new ship-pages. So kind of double-forward. Um, ok... But what is bothering me, is that on the original page there are 20 comments related to the Anubis, which now happen to be on an empty redirect-page, which probably nobody will ever see from now on.

Is this the right way to do? Should not the old page now be the disambiguation-page, or even better, the original still one of the 2 ship-pages? Hope you understand what I mean! :D

    • LOL, thanks. That's one of those words I never know how to spell. Wrote it wrong further above and copy/pasted it from there in later answers :D

Btw, all Appearances/S1-5 are currently on my Testpage here, feel free to check there if in need.

  • Oyé Fandyllic!

I was browsing through uncategorized pages and stumbled upon pages like this or that and others, which have zero information, no formatting, nothing but a couple of words with bad spelling.

Can I delete these pages (how?) or mark for deletion (how?) or should I just not bother?

    Taki taki

    /edit:

ok, I just might have found out by myself... ;)

    • Deleted the pages made by that anon. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Marking for deletion is a good minimal step. Contacting an admin, if they don't seem to notice is the right move.

    • There were also some non current shows on the list. I'm a fan of Downton Abby myself so I could ask if I could be added as the WM for it.

  • The main page for the wiki hasn't been updated in months and some of the sections need to be edited. Since you're the only active admin currently could you do it? The release date section for the show and book needs fixing, the twitter link for the show needs to be switched to the prime video one, and the news section is broken.

  • Check pages that use deprecated {{Organization}} template (pages) that should use {{Organization infobox}}.

  • Don't want to bother you too much, so sorry.

Not sure if it should be deleted, but the category Pages proposed for deletion seems to serve the same function as the page Candidates for deletion. Should the former be deleted, or does it serve a different purpose.

  • Should articles on the wiki regarding things from the series be in past or future tense? What I mean by "from the series" is, for instance, a character vs their actor, as the character's actions have already occurred, while their actor is still in the profession.

      Loading editor
    • I depends on what it is. Generally, I would put stuff in the past tense unless it is an ongoing state up to the current point in the series and appears that it will be in the foreseeable future. Of course, the books are always a reference for the "foreseeable future".
