Octavia Muss is a detective for Star Helix Security on Ceres Station.

Background[]
Octavia was originally from crimes against persons, back before Star Helix split violence up into smaller specialties. From there, she'd been in the rape squad. Then a couple of months of crimes against children.

As a result of shooting down one of her seniors making the moves on her, she was reassigned to be Miller's partner after his previous partner Dimitri Havelock left. When Miller was fired and decided to leave Ceres to continue his investigation of Julie Mao, he found Muss to say to goodbye. To his surprise she actually gave him a hug so long that it hurt Miller's ribs.
