Season Two is the second season of Syfy's The Expanse . It premiered on February 1, 2017, and continued airing each Wednesday until April 19, 2017, consisting of thirteen one-hour episodes.

The team began working on the season prior to receiving formal confirmation from Syfy.[1]. Production began in January 2016 and ended in November 2016[2] with filming dates between April 13, 2016 and wrapped September 12, 2016[3]

The second season is largely based on the last quarter of Leviathan Wakes and roughly 65% of Caliban's War with the sixth episode adapting "Drive".

Synopsis[]

Unlikely allies Joe Miller and the crew of the Rocinante led by Jim Holden uncover more about the conspiracy with the protomolecule. Chrisjen Avasarala faces the political conflict between Earth and Mars. Then Bobbie Draper, a Martian Marine stationed on Ganymede faces an unknown attacker.
