Syfy is an American cable channel owned by NBCUniversal (a subsidiary of Comcast). They deliver a range of original science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, and superhero programming. The channel had been the home for The Expanse for the first three seasons until it was canceled by the network on May 11, 2018.[1] After some negotiation by Alcon Entertainment, Amazon Studios picked up the show season 4[2] and presumably future seasons.
