The Toreador had been en route for ten months to the Slow Zone heading to Medina Station to pick up cargo, but had issues getting clearance to dock at the station. The freighter's Captain had documents that indicated that the cargo they were to load, medicine purchased from Amatix Pharmaceuticals needed for a colony, had been received at the station six months earlier. Medina Station would not confirm receiving the pharmaceuticals and ordered the ship to dock for a medical inspection.[1]
