Emil Jacquard Vandercaust is a Belter and member of the Outer Planets Alliance.
History
Vandercaust is a veteran technician working on Medina Station.

Vandercaust helped install the rail gun defense network on the ring station.[1]
He is later interrogated by the Free Navy on Medina Station where he is questioned about the recent collusion of ships beyond the gates. While innocent of the accusations of colluding with the enemy, Vandercaust changes after being interrogated, he strictly avoids anything political, withdrawing into himself. [2]
During the Battle for Medina Station in Babylon's Ashes, Vandercaust is the only person noted to not celebrate during the operation and is the first person to recognize that the rush of ships was diversionary. He relays this realization to Roberts.[3]
